My Approach

It is important to me that we have a trusting, comfortable relationship so that you can honestly and vulnerably address things that are hard. I love that therapy is a place where there is no judgment. It is the only relationship where you can share as much as you’d like without having to worry about it being shared with someone else or having to consider how it will impact the person you are talking with. It is meant to be one-sided; it is ALL about you. It is truly a unique relationship. The backbone of effective therapy is feeling heard, accepted, and understood. While a safe space is essential, I continually invest my time and resources in training in various therapy modalities to have the skills to help you move forward in your healing process.  I understand the value of utilizing our time together wisely in order to meet your goals.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma, whether from major events or prolonged stress, disrupts our sense of self, relationships, and ability to feel calm, as overwhelming experiences become stored in the body and triggered by familiar cues.

Grief and Loss

Grief is a deep, emotional response to loss that feels traumatic yet transformative. Those grieving aren’t broken but need empathy, honesty, and a safe space to process their pain in their own way.

Medical Issues

Chronic illness, life-threatening diagnoses, and caregiving often bring anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. Pain, declining abilities, and exhausting treatments can feel hopeless, while caregivers face fatigue and anticipatory grief. These struggles are real and shouldn't be minimized.

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
